3. FOOD POISONING OF FANCY FEASTS CAT FOOD COVERED UP BY PURINA: November 2025 – Complaints by cat owners about Fancy Feasts cat food making their cats vomit. Cat owners have reported various issues with Fancy Feast cat food, including vomiting and diarrhea. Some have experienced significant health problems, such as kidney disease and intestinal absorption issues, linked to the brand. In some cases, cats have even died after consuming Fancy Feast products. These complaints have led to increased awareness of pet food safety and a demand for transparency from pet food companies.

   Pet owners are advised to monitor their pets for any adverse reactions to Fancy Feast and consult a veterinarian if they suspect their cat is experiencing symptoms. If your pet’s food is not included in a recall, it should be safe to continue feeding them as usual, but it is recommended to switch to a different brand or type of food if you have any doubts. Several times in 2025, between August and November, my own 6-year-old cat has vomited after eating Fancy Feasts cat food, even though the cans were properly stored.

Purina has refused to investigate the concerns raised by cat owners, thus preferring to keep this scandal buried under the rug. It may take city, state and federal government agencies to launch independent investigations into the safety of Fancy Feasts cat food because Purina cannot be trusted to police itself and reveal publicly, just what is the cat ‘food’ they sell by the brand label, Fancy Feasts.

   Cat owners whose cats are vomiting after eating Fancy Feasts, must and should complain to their local government agencies, whether it be the consumer affairs dept., the health department, the food and drug administration, etc. Cat owners must find out exactly which government agencies have jurisdiction over the pet food industry and then file complaints against Purina and their brand, Fancy Feasts.

   Cats are not only vomiting and getting sick but dying as a result of eating Fancy Feasts cat food in 2025. Something is wrong at Purina, but Purina is doing nothing about it, not even issuing recalls of Fancy Feasts because they do not want to admit complicity and guilt in this matter and have to repay their customers who purchased Fancy Feasts. In this, Purina has created a scandal, due to this cover-up.

   The jurisdiction over the pet food industry for investigating complaints of food poisoning includes:
   Federal Agencies: The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) investigate federal crimes, including those related to food safety and pet food production. State Agencies: Each state has its own laws and agencies, such as the Department of Agriculture or Department of Health and Human Services, which oversee food safety and animal welfare regulations.

   Local Agencies: Municipal police departments and county sheriff’s offices enforce local laws and may investigate food-related incidents within their jurisdictions. Inspector General Offices: Some federal agencies, like the 72 Offices of Inspectors General, investigate fraud and abuse within federal agencies, which can include oversight of pet food production. These agencies work together to ensure compliance with food safety regulations and investigate complaints related to pet food safety.
