Please know Primal says you can NOT leave rehydrated food out longer than 2 hours!!!! You should refrigerate if they haven’t eaten after 2 hrs.
Thanks for sharing this video! Just ordered my first bag for my picky little fur baby. I gave her freeze dried treats to try and she was begging for more so I am hoping she likes this food once it comes in the mail!
I always add about 6-8 tsp of water or broth (or half of both) to my cat’s dry, dehydrated or wet food. He didn’t like it at first but has now learned that he has to lap up the liquid for him to get to the food. I feel good knowing he drinks that much water every day. I couldn’t ever catch him drinking water before so at least now I know that he does drink water. All my previous cats had UTI or kidney problems so hopefully, this method will spare him the usual health issues.
*Tip:* throw the dried nuggets into the food processor to break them down into even “crumbles”. You can do this at each individual feeding time or just do the whole bag all at once and seal it back in the original bag.
I found doing it this way with the crumbles ensures the food soaks up the water much more evenly.
